Hi! I’m Sarah Irish, and I am honored to serve as the Elementary School Counselor at Centerville ISD. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and Certified Animal-Assisted Intervention Specialist. As a hometown girl, I graduated from Centerville High School in 2010. With nearly 11 years of education experience, I obtained my Bachelor's Degree from Sam Houston State University in Kinesiology in 2014, followed by my Master's Degree in School Counseling from Lamar University in 2018.
My heart is to help every child feel safe, loved, supported, and like they truly belong at school. Through classroom SEL lessons, individual and small-group counseling, campus-wide programs, and lots of encouragement, I work alongside students, families, and teachers to help our students grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
You may also see my four-legged counseling partners, Maverick and Peaches, around our district! 🐾 As certified facility dogs from Bella's Buddies Inc., Maverick and Peaches help us teach coping skills, emotional regulation, connection, and kindness in a fun and comforting way.
I believe every child matters, every story matters, and every student deserves someone in their corner. I’m incredibly grateful to be one of those people for the best district ever, the Mighty Centerville Tigers!
Thank you,
Sarah Irish, M.Ed., LPC-Associate
