About 75 Centerville band students perform at the local, regional, & state level.  Our ensembles include Marching Band, Concert Band, 7th Grade Band, and the Elementary School 6th Grade Beginner Band.  Other music classes offered at Centerville High School are Applied Music, and Music Appreciation & History

The Centerville High School Band was recognized as a Texas University Interscholastic League Sweepstakes Band for 2011 - 12, and more recently, for the 2019 – 2020 school year, after obtaining superior ratings in both its Marching Band and Concert Band programs.  For the past 4 years, the CHS Band Department received a division I ratings in the Region VIII UIL Marching Contests, and advanced to the UIL Area Marching contest in 2011, 2013, and 2018  The Marching Tigers were also awarded Best in Class and outstanding Marching Band for the 2013 Liberty Bowl Parade in Memphis, Tennessee, as well as the 2011 Chick-fil-A Bowl Marching Competition and Parade.

The CHS Band is a program geared to work with the students. . . helping them to become an integral part of the CHS school environment. The goal of the CHS band is to meet students at a comfortable level, and to challenge them to progress … both on their instrument and in their role with various other school activities and function.  Our dedication is strong . . . and the shows are equally impressive.
