Curriculum

Our TEKS (what the state of Texas requires us to teach) have been drastically revamped in the past two years.  Please click on the links below to see a list of TEKS.  The first one is a list from TEA (Texas Education Agency) and the second is a list of the same TEKS, however they are grouped by how they are tested on the STAAR test.

While this is WHAT we are suppose to teach, it does not say HOW we should teach it.  For this, I rely on many different resources, lessons and ideas from our textbook, the internet, and other teachers.  However, we will mostly be using our textbook.  We adopted it last year and for most lessons it has worked very well!  Students will bring home a "teach" page and practice page that we have done together along with their homework so you can have an idea of how it was taught in class.  I will also include a link to our online textbook resource after school begins and you receive your username and password.  If you ever have questions or concerns about our curriculum please feel free to check out the website or contact me.
