Centerville is located half-way between Houston and Dallas on Interstate 45. The pace is slower in Centerville, and the hometown values are from days gone by. Strangers still wave at each other when they pass on the roads. Families, retirees, and professionals move out of the hustle and bustle of Houston, Dallas, or Bryan/College Station to an affordable life in the center of rural life. Centerville Independent School District is a rural 2A school district located in the heart of Leon County. The district currently serves approximately 700 students on two campuses: CentervilleJr-Sr High School (7-12) and Centerville Elementary (PK-6).
